You used to call me

Clans are the essence of the Hunt. However, today’s clue is about a even smaller unit - a pair. The internet has massively enabled friendship over great distances. We used to say my “real life friend” or my “internet friend” but now for so many of us, there’s not much of a difference. These friendships, formed from the bonds of common interest and across vast distances, are a powerful force for good in the world, and today’s clue honors them with a challenge.

Step 1: To form a linked pair, two hunters need shoot a video of yourselves outside making the same secret gesture (make up your own). The video location must be easily visually authenticatable—the easiest way to do this would be to have your video in front of a famous landmark, but it’s fine if you get creative; just be aware that if it’s hard to authenticate your location, you may be disqualified.

Step 2: Post the video on twitter with the following hashtags: #satoshistreasure #pairkey, the name of your pair (e.g. #toshipair), the places where you are at (e.g. #unionsquareSF #timesquareNYC), and the distance between you two using Google Earth to measure.

On Aug 15th 2019 at midnight GMT, the pairing with the maximum distance between them will receive a unique key that should be jealously guarded from all other pairs, clans, and hunters. Good luck!
